cazstarbangHi everyone, here are the summaries for this year's CazStar Big Bang!
For now, these summaries are just here to look at, but on July 25, 2024 (at 9 AM EDT/3 PM CEST), this post will be opened for commenting. As soon as this post is open for commenting, the claims process will start.
UPDATE: All fics have been claimed once! All fics are now open again for a second claim :) Artists who already claimed can claim a second fic if they like.
The summaries are under the cut at the end of the post, but please read the following information first:

At this point, you will not be able to claim any fics yet, but you can look at all the (anonymous) summaries and decide which fic you want.
2. Claims will open on July 25, 2024, at 9 AM EDT/3 PM CEST. We will open this Dreamwidth post for commenting.
This is how claiming works: you comment with your top two choices, and we'll give you your priority fic that hasn't been claimed yet (i.e. if your first choice has already been claimed we'll give you your second choice).

Summary:
Astarion Ancunín’s door appeared so gently that he did not recognize it for what it was before it closed behind him. This was, of course, by design. The door had thought long and hard about where and when best to appear to him to make up for how quickly it had decided where to send him: a world of ever-constant dusk made for things that thrive best in the shadows, far away from the parents who sought to fit him into a box he hadn't been made for. Over a long adolescence as Cazador Szarr's only child, Astarion grows far beyond the gangly unwanted thing he arrived as into the beautiful monster he was always meant to be—at least, he will if Cazador has anything to say about it.

Summary:
Spawn Cazador picks up Astarion from a bar and offers him to Vellioth as a gift, hoping his physical resemblance to Vellioth will please him by finally giving him the son he always wanted. Instead, his plan backfires—Vellioth is so pleased he makes them both into brothers, turning Astarion and mentally manipulating Cazador so he has to love and be devoted to Astarion. Cazador is responsible for Astarion, as his older brother and whipping boy. Astarion wants nothing more to be free, but every time he tries to escape Vellioth punishes Cazador in his stead. When Cazador almost is destroyed after a punishment meant for Astarion, they reach a crossroads. If Cazador is forced to choose between Vellioth and Astarion, which bond will prove stronger?
Or basically, me looking at the Astarion/Cazador situation, wheeling out a big whiteboard and a box of red string and tape, and saying "OK, here's how we can still make this into brotherfuckin'."

Cazador and Astarion are caught in an endless time loop. In order to solve it, they’ll need to put their heads together—the problem is, they have to stop killing each other for long enough to do that.

Chapter 2: The Real Feast (main story)
While mingling at the lavish ballroom party, Harren is summoned by the Chamberlain, Dufay, to meet with Lord Szarr. Apprehensive and slightly apprehensive, Harren follows him to a lateral and more secluded area. There, he quickly falls into the dark heart of the Szarr's power and the disturbing nature of the Lord’s entertainment.
But how deep is the abyss?
Chapter 3: Cazador’s Preparations (before main story)
Behind the opulent facade of his Palace, Cazador Szarr is more than a host: he is a master puppeteer, meticulous architect of depravity orchestrating a macabre dance of desire and despair.
A glimpse into his twisted mind as he meticulously Astarion, the recurring victim of Cazador's twisted desires and not-so-hidden obsession, is once again destined to be the centerpiece of his macabre entertainment.
Chapter 4: Astarion’s Torment (before and/or during main story)
Astarion experiences again the horrors of what it means to be Cazador’s favorite unwilling muse and, this time, the delightsome main course.
As the object of such an intense desire and depravity, Astarion grapples with the physical and emotional torment inflicted upon him. A journey in the depths of Astarion's suffering and the anticipation of the guests for his impending ordeal.
